How many centuries later and people are still going on about “free will”

“free will” is one of those meaningless concepts left over from christianity

Some Christian theology says that “God” has determined everything that was, is and will be !

So from this assumption, how is “free will” possible ?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Theological_determinism

The question is a nonsense

There is NO God that has determined everything that was is and will be.

The concept ignores basic physics which teaches us that there is randomness built into reality and the future can NOT be totally predicted by the past even by imaginary friends.

Meanwhile back in the real world, I/we make many choices every minute and there is no one and nothing that can really predict what i/we will decide AND I/we take responsibility for the choices I/we make in a fairly chaotic and unpredictable world.

Don’t we?,

God didn’t make us do it ?

The classic nonquestion used to be “how many angels can dance on the head of a pin” – we could go on and on for centuries about that kind of nonsense.

The real answer to the angel’s question is that the question is nonsense

MU

“free will” is a nonsense question, it presupposes that there is something external that makes our “will” “unfree”

And

just to head the other argument off at the pass. When i make choices some of them are conscious, some of them are unconscious but it’s me, all me

living in an actual world
